Educational Visit to the Administrative Court of Appeals of Thessaloniki

The Research Unit “European Policies and Democracy” (the predecessor of CEDLAW), in collaboration with the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “Research on Crucial Issues of European Integration” of the University of Macedonia, organized an educational visit to the Administrative Court of Appeal of Thessaloniki for the fourth-year students of the Department of International & European Studies of the University, on Thursday, November 23, 2017, accompanied by Associate Professor of the Department and Head of the Centre of Excellence, Despoina Anagnostopoulou, and PhD candidate of the Department and Administrator of the Research Unit, Alexandros Kyriakidis.

The visit took place in the context of the course of the Department, “Law of the European Union I”, and the participating students were able to tour the premises of the Administrative Court of Appeal of Thessaloniki (audience room, etc.), and to also attend the proceedings of an actual trial. They also had the unique opportunity to speak with the esteemed President of the Administrative Court of Appeal, Mr. Elias Kontozamanis.
