Conference “Challenges for the Rule of Law in the EU: The Cases of Hungary and Poland””

The Jean Monnet Chair “EU Budgetary Governance of  and Audit” and CEDLAW of the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia (Greece), co-organized on Tuesday, 19 January 2021, 18.00 (Greek time), a conference on the recent developments of the rule of law framework of the EU, the Multiannual Financial Framework and Recovery and Resilience Fund of the EU, and the cases of Hungary and Poland.
Speakers included the Director of CEDLAW, Assoc. Prof. Ioannis Papadopoulos (Univ. of Macedonia), the holder of the Jean Monnet Chair, Prof. Dimitrios Skiadas (Univ. of Macedonia), the Faculty member of CEDLAW Assoc. Prof. Alexandros Tsadiras (Open University of Cyprus), the Assist. Prof. Antonios Metaxas (Univ. of Athens), and Prof. Michail Chrysomallis (Democritus Univ. of Thrace). The conference was moderated and coordinated by the Head of Operations and Research of CEDLAW, Dr. Alexandros Kyriakidis.

The conference was open to the public, (no registration required), and was streamed live here and on CEDLAW’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/kediduom). There was the option of submitting questions through Facebook comments to the presenters.
